Google sucide search and rescue by police

recent incident in Mumbai, India, where a 28-year-old man was rescued by the police after Interpol alerted them that he was searching for ways to die by suicide on Google.

The man, who is from Rajasthan, had been living with his relatives in Mumbai for the past few years. He had lost his job six months ago and was struggling to find another one. His mother was also in jail, and he was unable to arrange for her bail. Feeling hopeless and frustrated, he turned to Google to search for ways to end his life.

Interpol, which monitors the internet for signs of suicidal behavior, alerted the Mumbai police about the man's searches. The police were able to track him down to his home and counsel him. The man explained his situation to the police, and they assured him of their help in finding a job and getting his mother out of jail.

The man was sent home with a relative, and the police are following up with him to ensure that he is doing well. This incident is a reminder of the importance of paying attention to signs of suicidal behavior, and of seeking help if you or someone you know is struggling.

If you are feeling suicidal, please reach out to a crisis hotline or mental health professional. There is help available, and you don't have to go through this alone.
